About the Teen Journal Project
Teen Journal Project™ is the first phase of the Dream GIRRLS Foundation. This is the relationship building phase. The goal of this venture is to provide teenage females with a journal to write within and to share with either another teenage female or an adult (almost like a pen pal).
So many of our teens feel that they have no one to communicate with and that no one understands them. Our goal is to provide a haven of openness and communication through our writing. As journal writing can provide a sense of therapeutic release, our hopes are that pairing with another female will be a great way to build a relationship and to bridge communication.

In the midst of work, school, family, and daily responsibilities, it seems harder than ever to connect [or re-connect] with girlfriends! Time comes and goes so quickly that before you know it - 3 months have passed since you've talked with your best friend. For just this reason, I've decided to start an online book club. My theory is that having something in common - even for the month, will provide a more consistent connection among friends.
Once a month a new book is chosen for our book club to read. Everyone can have a say in recommending books and one will be drawn at random (or if overwhelmingly recommended by our group).
