About the Teen Journal Project
Teen Journal Project™ is the first phase of the Dream GIRRLS Foundation. This is the relationship building phase. The goal of this venture is to provide teenage females with a journal to write within and to share with either another teenage female or an adult (almost like a pen pal).
So many of our teens feel that they have no one to communicate with and that no one understands them. Our goal is to provide a haven of openness and communication through our writing. As journal writing can provide a sense of therapeutic release, our hopes are that pairing with another female will be a great way to build a relationship and to bridge communication.
The second phase, Big S.I.S. (Sisters in Spirit), involves our mentored teens reaching back to mentor adolescent girls between the ages of 9 - 12. This is the responsibility building phase of the Dream GIRLLS Foundation.
If you or someone that you know could benefit from participating in the Teen Journal Project, please contact me. If you do not have the time to participate, there are still other ways you can be of service, contact me.
