I want to feel alive
Submitted by Jennifer Tardy on November 14, 2009 - 2:00amI think so many individuals are on the chase for something that feels real, or genuine, or existent. Do you ever feel like you want to pull off the layers of corporate America, social-pleasing, familial obedience and run right into a cloud of your real self? What is out there that makes you feel real; feel alive? Is it art, poetry, love, singing, speaking, or being outdoors or is it something else?
Do you chase it? Do you dream of it? Do you act on it only when you believe no one is looking? The most amazing people, and my heroes, are those that chase “self.” They chase their real self every day. They allow their light to shine so that others feel the courage to do the same.
