Letters to My Girlfriends: Day 364: 7 Things I Wish To Say...

I feel like there is so much more to say, Girlfriends. I don't know if I've told you this, but I keep lists and lists of topics I've been inspired to write. I'd love to be able to share each and every topic with you, but these letters will come to an end on tomorrow. So, in honor of you and our friendship, I want to use this one letter and share with you seven additional topics I wish I could have shared more in depth. My wishes are that you are able to take away as much love as possible while reading. Perhaps, I will write each of these topics in depth one day, but for now the lessons are too important to miss.
Do now all that you wish you could do tomorrow, next week, next year, or next decade. Tomorrow is not promised. Today may be all we have. Imagine how much happier you'd be if you could live the "future" you've always imagined.
Real beauty is discovered the moment we stop hiding behind other's perceptions of it. If you think that something is beautiful, you are right. Your concept of beauty is beautiful even if no one else agrees and even if it goes against the standards of our society. Always live in the beauty of what is true for you.
Don't give up simply because something is not happening fast enough. Rome was not built overnight. It was build night by night. All that you wish to accomplish in life can also be had. It may take a little longer, but I'm certain it will be well worth the wait.
Sometimes you have to lose a soldier in order to win a battle. As harsh as this quote was, it proves to be true today. I was told this a very long time ago. There are times you may have to let go of something for a higher purpose. You may have to let go of your fear in order to save a life. You may have to let go of your anger in order to save a family. You may have to let go of your insecurities in order to save a relationship.
We are all just sharing space. And if this is the truth, are you being a good steward of the space you occupy? Are you making good use of your space here on Earth? Are you sharing your space in a manner that allows others to grow in their own space?
Even if you are not sure of who you are, always be sure of who you are not. You may not be in a position in life to know who you want to be today or in the future, but stand sincere to who you are not. Always remember who you are not, and many times you will discover who you were meant to be, by determining who you never want to be.
Make your own mistakes, not someone else's. If you ever make a mistake, let it be because you've followed your beliefs, your inner guidance system, your own voice and not anyone else's. True enough, mistakes are mistakes, but it just feels a little better if you didn't make it because you were following the crowd.
